At a maximum operating height of 69.75 inches, the user is able to shoot over the crowds, and with a minimum operating height with the short center column of less than 20 inches, it allows for those close to ground tripod setups. At a combined weight of less than 5 pounds its easy to move the tripod from location to location with very little effort. The tripod had a quick lever leg lock system using materials that compliment the concept of strength at a lighter weight. As a result, the composite material used to construct the leg locks is an engineer grade glass reinforced nylon resulting in a strong durable locking system, while adding very little overall weight to the product.
The PH-85 professional 3-way panhead is constructed of die cast aluminum. The head rotates 360 degrees horizontally, 90 degrees vertically, and tilts 90 degrees forward and 45 degrees back. It features a quick release camera mounting platform and special double safety lock for simple mounting and dismounting of the camera. It includes retractable video alignment pin. it also features fluid movement, which allows the photographer to have precise control. It also includes rubberized handle and a level bubble, which allows for precise leveling.
